Claudia Finkel is Chief Operating Officer at JVS. Her responsibilities include all programs and services provided by JVS, ranging from corporate and outplacement services for organizations such as AT&T, UCLA, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and ITT Corporation, to innovative programs serving welfare recipients.

She also has created and managed mentoring and leadership programs for the staff of UCLA, and the innovative JVS WoMentoring program. WoMentoring reaches out to disadvantaged and in-transition women in Los Angeles to help them successfully enter the workforce. Previously, Finkel created and coordinated the Career Counseling Center for the University of Judaism in Los Angeles. She also teaches career development courses at the California State University, Northridge, Graduate School of Education, Psychology and Counseling.

Finkel holds an M.S. in Career Development and a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources from California State University, Northridge. Nationally licensed as both a counselor and a career counselor by the National Board of Certified Counselors, she is also a Registered Professional Career Counselor. Finkel is past president of the California Career Development Association and a credentialed community college instructor and counselor. She has served on the planning boards for the Los Angeles Daily Newsand the Los Angeles Times Women’s Career Conferences.
