MAYOR VILLARAIGOSA TO ATTEND JVS' BANKWORKS™ GRADUATION
Program Partner Bank of America To Present $50,000 Grant To JVS

WHAT: Mayor Villaraigosa will attend a graduation ceremony for 18 students of JVS’ BankWorks™- a job training and placement program. Created by non-profit JVS, in partnership with local banks and supported by the City of Los Angeles High Growth Financial Sector Initiative, BankWorks™ is designed to put people on the path to a career in the financial sector. Upon completion of the program, nearly 80% of BankWorks™ graduates have secured employment, with more than 75% still employed six months later. Bank of America will present a $50,000 grant to JVS during the event.
