Charity Navigator’s goal is to provide donors with the essential information they need to make informed choices in their charitable giving. Ratings are based on good governance, sound fiscal management, commitment to accountability, transparency and use of best practices.

ForbesBusiness Week, and Kiplinger's Financial Magazine have all profiled Charity Navigator’s unique method of applying data-driven analysis to the charitable sector. The organization estimates that last year Charity Navigator influenced approximately $10 billion in charitable gifts.

“We deeply appreciate this continued recognition of our agency-wide commitment to excellence,” said JVS CEO Vivian Seigel. “JVS remains a lifeline for job seekers of all ages, faiths and backgrounds. Our central mission - to improve lives, one job at a time - is more critical than ever, particularly as the gap between those who are able to sustain a career and those who have fallen to the poverty level widens. We acknowledge the generous support of our donors and corporate partners without whose assistance we would be unable to impact those in greatest need.”
