JVS (www.jvsla.org) has a
70-year history of helping Los Angeles residents build, enhance, and
change their careers. JVS’ Rehabilitation Services division offers training,
assessment, and counseling for clients with physical, developmental,
and emotional disabilities. Counselors offer clients guidance on a wide
variety of employment issues to help clients learn to help themselves.

WHAT:

Grand Opening of CoffeeWorks
at the Bernard Milken Jewish Community Center in West Hills. CoffeeWorks
mainstreams people with disabilities by training them with the necessary
skills to secure and retain sustainable jobs in real-world commercial
enterprises. The program focuses on jobs in the hospitality/food service
industries, emphasizing the specialty coffee business.
