BEVERLY HILLS RESIDENT NAMED PRESIDENT OF INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF JEWISH VOCATIONAL SERVICES AT ANNUAL CONVENTION
Los Angeles, Calif., (June 4, 2001) Beverly Hills resident Vivian Seigel, Chief Executive Officer/Eecutive Vice President of Jewish Vocational Service (JVS), was named President of the International Association of Jewish Vocational Services (IAJVS). Seigel was sworn in at IAJVS’ annual meeting on June 3, 2001 in Philadelphia.
Seigel, a career employee of JVS of Los Angeles, was named to the post because of her career-long commitment to helping JVS Los Angeles’ clients build, enhance, and change their careers," said Don Simons, Chair of IAJVS' Nominating Committee.
"I am honored to be named president of IAJVS," commented Vivian Seigel. "This will give me the opportunity to highlight some of the great work that is going on in Los Angeles in my dealings with JVS offices all over the country."
Founded in 1939, The International Association of Jewish Vocational Services (IAJVS) is a not-for-profit trade association that links 29 social service agencies in the United States, Canada, and Israel that provide a wide range of educational, vocational, and rehabilitation services to over 350,000 individuals each year. Through member agencies, individuals seeking to improve their lives gain access to a vast array of services such as career management, skills training, rehabilitation programs, and health services.
