JVS Honors Real Estate Magnate & Humanitarian Stanley Black,
Employees of the Year at 9th Annual Strictly Business L.A.
New Gang Prevention Program to be Announced  

WHAT: JVS’ 9th Annual Strictly Business L.A. Luncheon on May 11 honoring real estate investor and philanthropist Stanley Black with the Business Leadership & Philanthropy Award.  Black has consistently lent his time and resources to numerous social service and cultural agencies, including Vista Del Mar, LA ORT Technical Institute, the Jewish Home for the Aging, Union Rescue Mission, the L.A. Music Center, Children’s Hospital and Loyola Marymount University.   The gathering – one of the city’s premiere networking events – will also honor JVS’ 2006 Employees of the Year, Fortuna Ippoliti, Ellen Rundle, and Trevon Smith, all of whom overcame extraordinary odds to achieve success with help from JVS’ women’s mentoring, disability and foster youth programs.   Special announcement of new JVS gang prevention program in partnership with LA City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo. 
 
WHO: In addition to those honored, the event will feature Emmy-winning television personality Mark Thompson as host.   Numerous business leaders, executives, entrepreneurs and political leaders will also be on hand, including California Assemblyman Paul Koretz, LA City Councilmember Jack Weiss, Mayor of Beverly Hills Steve Webb and Mayor of West Hollywood John Heilman.
