LET’S DO LUNCH: JVS’ STRICTLY BUSINESS CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY

WHAT: Bradley A. Luster, President of Major Properties, will be honored with JVS’ 2007 Award for Business Leadership and Philanthropy at the 10th Annual Strictly Business Luncheon. Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the luncheon will also feature special presentations by Honorary Co-Chairs Donald T. Sterling and Stanley Black as well as State Controller John Chiang.

JVS will also recognize four individuals who have overcome the struggles many Angelinos have in this tough job market. This year’s Inspiration Award recipients include Emi Carvell, who found a whole new direction in life after surviving a life-threatening brain tumor; Adam Koffman, a Hurricane Katrina evacuee who had to rebuild his life from scratch; Tzigeh Mesfun, a courageous survivor of human trafficking, and Jonnique Rush, a high school drop-out who found a new career and future.

Sterling, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, Stanley Black of Black Equities, Event host and KTTV Fox Weatherman Mark Thompson, Elgin Baylor, VP of Basketball Operations for the LA Clippers, LA City Council Member Jan Perry, LA City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo, West Hollywood City Council members John Heilmann and Abbe Land, as well as political representatives from across California.
