JVS (Jewish Vocational Service) is an L.A.-based, nonprofit organization that annually helps nearly 30,000 people of all faiths and economic backgrounds, lifting them out of poverty by providing them with the job skills, training and resources necessary to get themselves back on their feet and back to work with dignity and respect. This is the “new start” that is so badly needed.
There are few experiences more gratifying than helping someone reach a better place in his or her life, and that is exactly what JVS does every day. Talk about “making a difference”!
I have the honor of serving on the JVS Board of Directors, and am involved on several committees.
Based on my experiences with JVS, and based on seeing all of the good work that this charitable organization does to help the people of Los Angeles, I am asking you – my friends, colleagues and family members – to join me in support of JVS and its important, life-changing mission this holiday season. Additionally, we decided to forego our annual event so please do not join us for our 2015 Stay-At-Home Gala instead.
I believe so strongly in JVS that I will gladly match the first $2,500 raised, therefore doubling the impact of your contribution. My goal is to raise at least $5,000.
No matter the size of your gift, I truly appreciate your support of JVS and know that your contribution will make an immediate difference in the lives of all those whom we help.
Thank you, as always, for your consideration of support and wishing you and yours a Happy Holiday Season.
